At the Committee Meeting held on 4 July, 2007, problems with noise on club nights was discussed, particularly noise created by the younger children. The noise level was causing some problems for the Adult Members and was starting to affect adult player attendance.
It was decided to implement a system whereby Junior Players (up to Grade 7), play from 6pm to 7.30 pm and Adults only play from 7.30 pm on. It was decided to treat Children in Grade 8 and above (Secondary School Students) as Adults for a trial period, but if the behaviour of any Secondary School causes problems for the Adult players, then the secondary student involved will only be allowed to play in the 6pm to 7.30 pm session.
Any child not playing after 7.30 pm will be allowed to watch their parents or guardian or other adult players playing, but only if their behaviour does not cause problems.
The Management of the ATW has advised that any child under the age of eighteen years on the premises must be accompanied by a Parent or Guardian at all times the child is on the premises. This has to be rigidly enforced!!
